Poppy Day Minutes Silence

Tomorrow is an important day for everyone in the UK, as we mark the 11th day of the 11th month, known as Poppy Day, Remembrance Day or Armistace Day.

On the 11th hour it is tradition that we remember the soldiers who have fought and died for our country by observing a minutes silence.

While it is quite difficult to observe a minutes silence during an online bingo game, on the request of our regular bingo players I will be logging into our Auto Autumn Room just before 11.00am tomorrow to attempt exactly that.

We cannot control when the games begin and end, so you will have to excuse Eric as he continues to call the numbers during the minutes silence. What I will do is ask all players who wish to take part to switch their sound off, and to refrain from chatting or pressing the WD, TYVM & GL buttons for 60 seconds. The rest is easy, do nothing.

I will then inform the room when the minutes silence has finished.

Now I do not expect all players present to take part, as we often have foreign players around that time of day, some of whom don't speak English and others who don't look at the chat. Some may out of habit press the WD and TYVM buttons without realising. The important thing is that those of us who do wish to take part, will do so, and know we have done so, and that is all that matters.

So if you wish to join me in honouring our fallen heroes, I will see you tomorrow just before 11.00am.
